At MeBook we create personalized children's books. To do this we process personal information, including photos of your child. We treat this information with the care it deserves. This document explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what your rights are.
1. Who we are
MeBook is a service that creates illustrated, personalized children's books using artificial intelligence. For any privacy question you can contact us at the address at the end of this document.
2. What data we collect
Child details: name, age, gender, and appearance details you provide (such as hair and eye color).
Photos: the images you upload of the child and of parents, if you choose to include them.
Contact and order details: email address, the format you chose, and order information. Payments will be processed by an external payment provider; we do not store card details.
3. How we use your data
We use your data solely to create and deliver your personalized book: to write the story, illustrate the character based on the photos, produce the file, and send you confirmation and a download. We do not use the photos for any other purpose.
4. AI processing and third parties
To create the book, we send the text and photos to AI providers (such as OpenAI) that generate the story and illustrations. We also rely on infrastructure providers for hosting and for sending emails. These providers process the data only on our behalf and under their own privacy policies.
5. Children's data and parental consent
The service is intended for adults (parents or guardians) creating a book for a child. By using the service you confirm that you are authorized to provide the child's details and photos. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children.
6. Data retention and deletion
Intermediate files created during generation (working illustrations) are deleted automatically once the book is ready. We retain the order and the final book file so you can download it and for support. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
7. Security and international transfers
We take reasonable measures to protect your data. Our service and providers are hosted, among other places, on servers in the United States, so your data may be processed outside your country.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, request its deletion, and object to certain processing. We do not sell your data to anyone. To exercise any right, contact us.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time; the current version will be posted on this page. For any privacy question or request — including a deletion request — email us at hello@mebook.com. We respond within 30 days.
